This is education, not advice

The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether your change is descent or volume loss, or whether either treatment is appropriate for your face, your health or your circumstances.

Neither option is a default

Nothing on this site should be read as ranking one treatment above the other, or as describing one as the sensible starting point. Each answers a different change, both carry real risks and real costs, and the choice follows from an examination rather than from a clinic’s routine.

No outcome is guaranteed

No treatment can be guaranteed. How much a lift improves and how long it holds vary between individuals, and the result is judged honestly only after six to twelve months. Filler results are temporary and vary in how long they last, and dissolving a filler does not always remove all of it.

Scars and emergencies

A surgical lift leaves permanent scars, including scars hidden in the hairline and behind the ear; they mature and soften over a year or more but do not disappear. Filler complications include vascular occlusion, which is a time-critical emergency — a change in vision, severe pain, or pale or dusky skin after a treatment requires immediate care, not a routine follow-up.
